We organized Skill Development Programme on disaster management for NSS Volunteer on protecting people during disaster – The Nilgiris on 06.03.2023 onwards in this Programme inaugural Ceremony Programme Activity Coordinator Mr. G. ARJUNAN delivered Welcome Address then Dr. S. SHANMUGAM, felicitated the function, After that Dr.R.RAJENDIRAN was presiding over the function, Mr.PON JAYASEELAN MLA and Director of RGNYD Prof SIBNATH DEB delivered the special address & inaugural address
Dr. SIVASANKAR gave lecture on how to work during the calamities, then Dr.G.SATHISH KUMAR explained about Role of Young Volunteers in the time of disaster after that Mr.Pakyanathan described duty of press. Dr. RAMASAMY explained about ethics of press during disaster time.
Dr. P. RAKKIMUTHU gave lecture on precautionary measures to be taken during disaster, Mr RAJENDRAN gave insights of Role of Young Volunteers in wild fire. Dr.C.SARANKUMAR had given thoughts on regarding the protection of people from fire accidents, Mr.SANKAR explained on Demonstrated protection of people from fire accident during the session. He displayed fire service men work during fire accidents.
Dr. LOKESHWARAN team showed the handling of first Aid during disaster. Dr.KARTHICK explained about the flood risk management position during the flood. Mr.SATHOSHKUMAR and Mr. VASUDEVAN gave lecture on awareness and dealing with electricity problem during calamites. In the valedictory function national coir board chairman government of india Mr.GUPPURAMU was present as chief guest in valedictory function certificate were distributed to all participation. Head & CTO & CB,RGNYD Prof VASANTHI RAJENDIRAN participated in the function through online gave an valedictory speech.
